Since its release, the popular sandbox computer game Minecraft has amassed a sizable user base, and the business has been steadily adding new features to the platform’s infinite-world experience. With the release of the Caves and Cliffs update in the coming days, the Minecraft game will receive yet another significant upgrade.

According to a recent story from Eurogamer, the forthcoming Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update will be split into two parts, with the first arriving on Tuesday and the second arriving “around the holiday season.” At least three new animals, craftable items, and new blocks will be added to the game in this version.

Two big themed improvements for Java and Bedrock editions are called Caves & Cliffs. On June 8, 2021, the first half of the game was launched as Java Edition 1.17 and Bedrock Edition 1.17.0, which included geodes, copper, new blocks, and mobs. The second component, which features extended caves, higher height and depth limits, new mountain generation, and new biomes, will be released in November or December 202 as Java Edition 1.18 and Bedrock Edition 1.18.0. Caves & Cliffs was revealed during Minecraft Live 2020, and Mojang Studios confirmed on April 14, 2021, that the update would be split into two parts due to the number of content and difficulty, and also team health.

Part I of the Java Edition began development in snapshot 20w45a, released on November 4, 2020. On May 27, 2021, the first pre-release for Caves & Cliffs: Part I was made available, followed by the first release candidate on June 4, 2021. Part II saw work begin with the release of 1.18 Experimental Snapshot 1 on July 13, 2021. 1.18 Pre-release 1 is the current snapshot.
